SCHOOL BOX PROGRAM

Twenty volunteers from The Rotary Club of Bishop and from the Bishop Union High School Interact Club, plus two friends, gathered at Rotarian Kay O'Brien's house Saturday Oct. 11th to assemble 32 boxes with each containing $100.00 worth of school supplies for Elm Street & Pine St. Elementary Schools.

The boxes were delivered to Betsy McDonald, Principal of the Elm-Pine Street School Tuesday, Oct 14th by Rotarians Lee Mizrahi, Jody Cutler, Merton Pond, Ed and Pat Nahin, Kay O'Brien, and helping, Terry O'Brien. Ms McDonald said that the school supplies are very much needed and appreciated plus provides lots of excitement to the students. The school box program is one of many community projects of the Rotary Club of Bishop which meets every Tuesday at noon at Whiskey Creek Restaurant.
