Members of the Rotary Club of Bishop, the Sunrise Rotary Club and friends of Rotary joined together on Saturday April 10th with employees of the Bishop Park Department to refurbish and repaint the picnic pavilion at the city park.  The Rotary Club built the structure approximately 20 years ago and dedicated it for the use of the community.  Many birthday parties, family gatherings and picnics in the park pavilion have been enjoyed by hundreds of community members over the years.

The refurbishment and repaint project was followed by lunch served from the Rotary Snack Shack to all the project workers with much gratitude for their time and effort.

The pavilion will be formally rededicated on May 8th, Saturday at 10:00 am and everyone is welcome to attend this short dedication ceremony.  Rotary continues to serve our community, and our world for those in need and lives by its motto of "Service Above Self."  For more information about Rotary and its many projects and purposes please call President Kay O'Brien at 760 872 8083.
