OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARDS
The Rotary Club of Bishop Receives Awards For Outstanding Service to the Bishop Community.
Rotary International District 5260 (which has 36 clubs) had their annual conference May 17 - 18, 2008 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Grand Vista Hotel. Awards given to the Rotary Club of Bishop in the large club category: First Place, Youth Service, Total Program; Second Place, Community Service, Best Total Program, Second Place, Youth Service, Best Project, Children at Risk plus other awards for Youth Service, Interact Club, Vocational Service, Student Mentoring Program, Club Service, Best Public Relations, and a Golden Cup award for significant editorial contributions to the District Web Site.
Ed Nahin, President of the Rotary Club of Bishop said Rotarians such as ours make a difference in so many lives in our wonderful community.
