ImageGovernor of Rotary District 5190, Vickie Puliz,  inducted Christopher (Chris) Moore in to the Rotary Club of Bishop on August 6, 2013.  Ed Armenta is his sponsor.  Chris said he was honored and had wanted to become a Rotarian for over 3 years while living in Florida.  He recently moved here to Bishop due to his transfer with the Forestry Service.

Chris is the Civil Rights Officer at the Forest Service.  He has his Masters of Arts Degree in Psychology with Conflict Resolution Specialization.  Chris and his family have lived in Bishop for 16 months and they are enjoying the great fishing opportunities plus Chris enjoys watching sports on television, traveling and practices his cooking skills.

Moore’s wife Florence is a Secretary with Inyo County District Attorney’s Office.

Chris said he was attracted to Rotary because of the passion that Rotarians have for serving the community and world wide charities.  He feels he will bring an enthusiasm for Service to young people and our elderly citizens in the community.  Chris is going to establish a program that will help our veterans.

When asked what else is interesting about him, Chris replied “I would like to complete my doctorate degree within 5 years”

The Rotary Cub of Bishop members are thrilled and honored to have Chris Moore as a member.  He is a leader in his vocation and manifests those qualities of Rotarians who believe in “Service Above Self”
