The Rotary Club of Bishop volunteers plus friends and Rotary Interact members gathered together on November 3rd at the home of Terry and Kay O’Brien where they assembled over 50 boxes of various school supplies for donation to Bishop and Round Valley elementary schools.  Each box contained approximately $100 worth of items, paid for through cub members’ generosity.

The boxes were delivered to Elm-Pine Street Elementary School by Rotarians Kay and Jeff O’Brien, Ed and Pat Nahin, Ellen Siegal, Maggie Kingsbury and Judy Haycook.   Teachers Michelle Kubiak, Susan Kunze and Lynn Galloway were thrilled to get the boxes of supplies which they will use as rewards to their students plus utilizing needed school supplies.

Dan Moore, principal of Round Valley Elementary school was delighted to receive boxes delivered to his school by Kay O’Brien, Sue Lyndes and Pat Nahin.   He said the teachers truly appreciate the much needed added supplies and that children are always excited to see what is in the boxes.

The Rotary Club of Bishop is committed to fulfilling its mission of contributing to the community.
