The Rotary Club of Bishop gives $4000.00 of school supplies to local elementary schools.

The Rotary Club of Bishop was given a $2000.000 grant from Rotary District 5190, and then added $2000.00 from club funds for their annual “School Box Program.”

Volunteers with the Rotary Club of Bishop, along with friends and Rotary Interact member gathered November 16th at the home of Terry and Kay O’Brien where they assembled 56 boxes of various school supplies for donation to Bishop and Round Valley elementary schools. The boxes were delivered to Elm Pine Street Elementary School and Round Valley Elementary School on November 19th.

Accepting the boxes at the Elm-Pine Elementary School were Heather Carr, Principal, Nancy Rex, Secretary and Gretcher Skrotzi, Assistant Principal and Principal Dan Moore of the Round Valley Elementary School. They said the teachers appreciate the much needed added supplies and that the children are always excited to see what is in the boxes.
