Rotarians spread Easter cheer
The Rotary Club of Bishop continues their annual tradition of giving Easter gift packs and cheerful greetings to local residents.
Rotarians and friends assembled over 350 Easter gift packs at the home of Terry and Kay Obrien on Saturday April 7th. The gift packs were delivered along with a personal Easter greeting on April 14th, 15th and 16th to the Sterling Heights Assisted Living Facility, Bishop Care Center, those gathered for lunch at the Methodist Church Soup Kitchen and the Bishop Senior Center.
Rotary is a global network of community volunteers. Rotary members are business, professional and community leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are over 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.
The Rotary Club of Bishop meets every Tuesday at noon at Astorga’s Restaurant. Visitors are welcome. Lunch is $10.00.
