Help-Portrait Day in Bishop

It’s all about GIVING pictures, not taking them!  The Rotary Club of Bishop members Edward and Patricia Nahin heard about Celebrity Photographer Jeremy Cowart starting “Help-Portrait” which is a community of photographers coming together across the world to use their photography skills to give back to their local community.  With the help of Rotarian Kay O’Brien and a $200 donation from the club for frames, the Nahins signed up for this “giving” project and contacted Beth Himelhoch, Director of IMAH and asked her if they could include her clients in the Help-Portrait event.  On Friday, December 9, 2011, pictures were taken of 13 clients and several staff members.

Edward Nahin, an award winning photographer, produced beautiful portraits and storytelling photos.  When the portraits were delivered, there were tears, hugs and happiness beyond words.  The true meaning of giving was a reality.

Inyo-Mono Association for the Handicapped (IMAH) is the only adult day program for adults with developmental disabilities in Inyo and Mono Counties.
