First Annual Area 13 Celebratory Dinner

 

The Rotary International Foundation had the First Annual Area 13 Celebratory Dinner at The Westin Hotel in Mammoth Lakes, California on Saturday November 3, 2012.   The District 13 has four clubs:  Mammoth Sunrise, Mammoth noon, Bishop Sunrise and The Rotary Club of Bishop.   Presidents from the four clubs were there along with members of their clubs.  The Rotary Club of Bishop was represented by President Mike Gable, Lee Ann Rasmuson, and husband Gene, Dr. Leo Pisculli and wife, Delia, and Ed and Pat Nahin.

Rick Pheps from the Mammoth noon club was the Master of Ceremonies.  There was a recognition of District Officers Club Officers and Distinguished Rotarians.  LeeAnn Rasmuson was given an award for her work for the Rotary International Foundation.  District 5190 Governor Woody Wilbanks gave a short talk followed by comments by Past District 5260 Governor Tom Hardy who introduced the evening’s speaker:  Past District 5240 Governor Deepa Willingham.  Deepa gave a wonderful and very moving presentation of the work of PACE:  Promise of Assurance to Children Everywhere.
