The 2011 Sierra Safari “Into The Wild Blue Yonder” started off with a Friday Evening Governor’s Reception at the Bishop Airport.  The Saturday Excursions included hiking, 4 x 4 excursions, petroglyph tour, trap shoot, visit to Owens Valley Radio Observatory and the popular “Fall Colors Photo Tour.  The Saturday Fellowship Dinner was held at the home of Terry and Kay O’Brien.  Everyone enjoyed the beautiful yard, food, drinks and visiting with visitors and fellow Rotarians.  The Sunday Trout Breakfast was held at the Elk’s Park, renewing friendships and hearing about what’s happening “on the east side.”  Bishop Rotary Club Safari Chairman, Mike Gable, reported that the club netted over $5000.00 for the club’s scholarship fund.  Success of the fund raising was helped by the generous bidding by Pat Brown-Berry.
