The room was festive, and the mood was enhanced by decorations and excellent fellowship. (see more photos in Photo Album)

On Tuesday, November 29th, 27 people enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by Christine Chilcott and her son Nick.  Marianne Brown from our club made the arrangements, and she had some help from a few club members as well.

There were no lengthy speeches, activities, games or program.  The members and guests were free to speak to one another, and it was nice to get to know a few of the club members better with no time pressure.

Our club chaplain, Pastor Judy Holland was joined by her husband Pastor Russ Holland.  They made an announcement about an Open House at the Salvation Army office in Surrey – 13474 96 Avenue, on December 11th starting from 10:00 AM onward.  A lunch will be served after the service.

In addition, our club will be assisting with the Surrey Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Kettle campaign again this year. We hope to have a location in Guildford Mall.  Please stay tuned for dates and times when our club members and their friends can help.

Please join us Tuesdays from 6:15 – 7:45 PM at the ABC Restaurant – 15373 Fraser Hwy.  Let’s do some good work in the community together.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish not only our club, but our many friends in the community a Very Merry Christmas to you and your families.
