As a transplant from Toronto to Metro Vancouver, Ely was seeking an opportunity to connect with likeminded people who actively support the community. After joining the Rotary Club of Surrey in 2018, Ely led the club's efforts in revamping the website, and he is pleased to see that through this online engagement, more young people are joining the club. 
 
Ely is a commercial realtor specializing in the sale of development land and investment sales in Surrey & the Fraser Valley. Ely is passionate about community development and strongly believes in the future of North Surrey, specifically Guildford, Fleetwood, & Cloverdale areas as strong areas of growth.
  
After working in Surrey as a commercial realtor for nearly 5 years, Ely and his family moved from Vancouver to Langley in 2020.
