Our Projects
Starfish Pack
Since 2016, the Rotary Club of Surrey Foundation's Starfish Pack Program has been helping schoolchildren and their families access nutritious food on weekends throughout the school year. In partnership with the Surrey School District, the City of Surrey, the Salvation Army, local Rotary Clubs, and community organizations, the program provides food packs to families experiencing food insecurity. The impact has been significant. Teachers have reported improvements in students' focus, reading and math performance, classroom engagement, and access to heathy meals.
We welcome volunteers to assist with packing and delivering food each week. Financial contributions are also greatly appreciated and help us reach more families in need.

Bike Day
The Rotary Club of Surrey's annual Bike Day, held each June in collaboration with R.E.C. for Kids, HUB Cycling, and the City of Surrey, brings families and community members together at Holland Park, rain or shine, for a day of fun, networking, and active living.
Bike Day promotes healthy lifestyles and cycling safety and helps bring together volunteers, local organizations, and families in support of a shared goal: creating a healthier, more active, and more connected Surrey.
Community Supports through the BC Community Gaming Grants Program
Bee Garden
To help promote environmental sustainability, the Rotary Club of Surrey maintains a community bee garden in Cloverdale. The garden provides a safe habitat for bees and other insects that play a vital role in pollinating plants and flowers.
This project reflects the Club's commitment to environmental stewarship and enhancement of local biodiversity.
Seniors' Christmas Dinner
In partnership with the North Surrey Secondary, the Rotary Club hosts an annual Seniors' Christmas Dinner to celebrate and honor local seniors during the holiday season. Meals are prepared and served by student volunteers. Club members provide complimentary pick-up and drop-off for attendees who need assistance in getting to and from the venue.
Street Clean-Up
The Rotary Club of Surrey regularly organizes community street clean-up events to help keep our neighbourhoods clean, safe, and welcoming. These volunteer-driven initiatives bring members and community participants together to collect litter and demonstrate pride in our local environment.
Youth Leadership Programs - YAIL & RYLA
The Club invests in the development of future leaders through support for Rotary's signature youth leadership programs. Funding is provided for Youth Adventures in Leadership (YAIL), which serves youth aged 15 to 17, and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), designed for young adults 18 to 30. These immersive programs help participants develop leadership skills, build confidence, foster community engagement, and create lifelong connections with peers who share a commitment to serve.
