Last tuesday we learned of the extensive breadth of programs provided by South Fraser Community Services. Wesley  Everaars and Shayne Williams using a PowerPoint presentation whisked us through an overview of the many programs they provide to people in the 
innercity. Their programs cover the following areas 
Health services and Housing for people with HIV/AIDS. (includes a high protein food bank,6 unit housing project,)
Assistance to people on the street.  OWL program (Other Women's Lives) support and guidance for sex trade workers helping
with exit strategies to get them back into mainstream society.
Bread4Life Program -  supplying over 6,000 meals a month to people in need.
The Front Room Resource Centre  Drop in services 24/7 365 days a year for Street people.
Gateway Shelter - 40 bed year round shelter.
Homeless Outreach Program- Meeting people where they are on the streets and helping them connect with resources and housing. 
Surrey North Community Health Centre -  Free medical clinic for disadvantaged individuals.
This list just cuts the surface of the services provided.
