The link worked well a little throttling when internet got super busy but overall connection worked well. The Audience really appreciated the knowledge imparted by Tracy. She gave us the background on the Rotary First Harvest in Seattle and Klamath Falls. Started in 2004 and in 2010 they distributed 250,000   of fresh vegetables in Oregon .. Seattle distributed 1 million pounds.

Tracy mentioned there are many programs that can be undertaken and then provided a list of programs that had been undertaken

in Oregon.

A Meat Program- Producers Donating an Animal at Auction funds raised can then be used to buy Meat or Groceries or the purchaser gifts the Animal for butchering and the food bank.

Food Recovery Program – In Lincoln City they get excess food from restaurants – Freeze it and distribute.

Community Garden Create in empty lot,Park,School Rent boxes and/or share the harvest.

Gleaning – Getting excess food from community encourage home gardeners to add a row for the food bank.
