NEED FOR MORE HOSPICE

At our February 21st. Meeting Ron Watson, A Past President of the North Delta Rotary Club presented his analysis of the Future Hospice needs for Surrey. He gave us background on the existing facilities and explained how people were being kept in expensive Hospital Beds. If properly designed Hospice facilities were constructed thee expensive beds could be freed up and appropriate care can be provided for our aging population.
He estimates it will required between $2-6 million to establish a properly equipt Hospice. He is approaching the local Rotary Clubs to joint the group to spearhead the Fundraising Foundation.
