Last tuesday we had the opportunity to hear from MikeReddington BA.MBA from the Rotary Club of White Rock Semiahmoo on the process of conducting and interpreting a membership engagement survey. Mike initially devised this process for Versacold logistics surveying over 10,000 employees. He then refined the process to fit a Rotary Club.

What is it? It is a measure of the positive and negative emotion of the club membership.

How is it conducted? Using Survey Monkey https://www.surveymonkey.com this cloud based survey tool makes it easy to create and deliver the survey and it is confidential so the data is not influenced by personalities.

Why conduct a survey? Take the temperature of the membership. Monitor connection between the club and the members.Help members reconnect and help members self assess their active membership.

Objective - Foster communication and feedback, Gauge level of engagement,Gauge level of members satisfaction with the club,

When the survey is completed the results are assessed and then it is time to put an action plan into place to address the needs uncovered.

Bryce Elroy thanked Mike for his presentation and presented a token of our appreciation.
