Glynden (Glyn) has been a member of Rotary for 20 years. He has served on the Sunshine Coast, North Vancouver, Burnaby and is currently a member of the Surrey Rotary Club. As part of the executive team, Glyn is the serving on the Board of Directors.
Professionally, Glyn is an ordained pastor with The Salvation Army and has the privilege to support residents on their journey. As part of The Salvation Army’s national Emergency Disaster team, Glyn travels to disaster sites internationally, nationally, and locally, working on logistics securing food, housing, and provides emotional and spiritual care for individuals and first responders directly involved in the disaster.
Glyn is a family man and spends his free time with his wife, children and grandchildren while embracing his new title, poppa, with great joy. Hiking, traveling, and days spent on the water keeps him young and busy. Glyn likes tinkering with computers, plays piano, guitar and various other instruments, and always enjoys telling the “dad jokes”.

Rotary is a family of good people who want to do good things in helping the communities in which they live. Rotary is not just a club to join and sit at meetings. Rotary has helped Glyn develop skills and connect with like minded people. “Rotary is family and will always be part of my life”, says Glyn.
