On Tuesday Sept 4th. we had the opportunity to hear from Arden Krystal the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Provincial Health Services Authority.
She provided us with an extensive overview of the many health entities under her stewardship. BC Cancer Agency, BCCDC, BC Women's and Children's Hospital, Cardiac Services BC, BC Renal Agency,Perinatal Services BC, BC Transplant and BC Mental Health Association.
Lots of activity and expansion in our health services ahead in addition the Surrey Memorial another Cancer Agency Location. Expansion of Children's Hospital are just three currently proceeding. She stressed that the focus was to ensure the level of service is equal in all areas of the Province.
Arden gave us a presentation on Customer Service and the culture of Can Do vs the Culture of No. She provided examples of how this Customer Service attitude is a core of the delivery of Health services in our Region.
