ADVENTURES in CITIZENSHIP WRAP UP

Our Guests at last tuesday's Meeting were Students who took part in our Adventures in Citizenship Program for 2012.
This is the 62nd Anniversary of the program which is run by the Rotary Club of Ottawa.
This year 220 Students spent 4 days in Ottawa learning about our Citizenship & immigration program and parliamentary system.
Alliance Babunga who was our representative to Ottawa gave us a powerpoint presentation showing photos from the events she
took part in during her Ottawa stay.She related how awesome it was to meet with students from across Canada and that she had
made many lifetime friends. Included in her prize was the addition of a trip to the BC Legislature where she was introduced to
several Ministers by our honorary member and MLA Dave Hayer. She go to watch the parliament in session and meet with the
House speaker. Here our Rotarian coordinator of the program Duane Buchanan presents Alliance with one of our traditional speaker gifts.
