Member Classification Talk: Peter C
Born at the end of the war in Britain, Peter spent his younger years exploring many different paths - from being a horse jockey apprentice to selling encyclopedias door to door in Montreal. Along the way, he collected countless stories, all told with his trademark humour.
He married the love of his life, Cindy, who shared in his many adventures and have been together for over 60 years. Eventually, Peter found his calling in the heating and ventilation industry, working on high-rise buildings and later, welcoming his son into the business.
Peter has always had a passion for cars and a habit of putting his whole heart into everything he does. Above all, he is known for his remarkable resilience, meeting life's challenges with determination, optimism, and a smile.
Peter’s more than 25 years of Rotary membership reflect not only his commitment but also the unique spirit, warmth, and enthusiasm he brings to our club.

For nearly two decades, George & Linda Balzer has been the driving force behind Summer Sundays, the beloved free outdoor concert series at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody.
Through their vision, energy, and commitment to community, Summer Sundays has brought thousands of people together to enjoy live music while raising funds for Crossroads Hospice Society.
George is known for turning great ideas into reality, building partnerships, supporting talented, local musicians, and creating opportunities for families and friends to connect through music.
His dedication has made Summer Sundays a cherished tradition in Port Moody and a lasting contribution to the community.
SHARE is encouraging our community to help youth and families learn about Foundry Tri‑Cities—a welcoming place where young people can access support for mental health, wellness, and more, all in one location.
Foundry Tri-Cities is operated by SHARE and is an inclusive and welcoming space designed for youth, by youth.
It serves LGBTQIA2S, newcomers, Indigenous youth, youth with disabilities—all young people—with barrier-free mental health, substance use, physical/sexual healthcare and youth/family peer supports and social services.
