Gayle Carter is very pleased to award a Community Grant to Dale Brant of the Nothin Dragon Boating Association. This grant is dedicated to providing high school students with the opportunity to get out on the water, learn boating safety, and experience the natural beauty of our stunning inlet.
Last week, the dragon boat was filled with graduates from Moody Middle School, giving them a memorable and educational experience.
Thank you, Dale, and the Nothin Dragon team for sharing your knowledge and for teaching these students such valuable skills.
Our foreign exchange student, Victoria Segovia Borja, and also our morning's Guest Speaker, shown here with her secondary host family, President Elect Darrell & lovely wife, Krista.
Victoria shared her experience adapting to life in Canada, including learning our language and customs.
She spoke about the important role of her host family and Rotary, who welcomed her with kindness and always made her feel at home.
Victoria made many friends, continued her passion for volleyball, and grew more independent through her time here.
She is very grateful for her Rotary experience, which helped her build friendships, improve her language skills, and develop a strong appreciation for service, culture, and community.
And thank you Victoria for being brave enough to say yes to this life-changing student exchange opportunity! It’s been such a special privilege for our club to have you as our exchange student; we truly love seeing you at our club meetings, our events, and hearing about your latest Canadian adventures!

Our own Brian Wormald—who, along with his many Rotary commitments, is actively involved with Rotary World Help—and fellow Rotarian, Ron Allegretto recently connected with Selene Peeling, Recreational Therapist at Eagle Ridge Manor, to donate three recliners.
These chairs are in pristine condition, easy to recline, and equipped with wheels and brakes to ensure both comfort and safety for residents.
Just another example of Rotarians quietly making a difference—an average day in Rotary!
