Call for Volunteers: Car Free Day with the Rotary Club of Port Moody and City of Port Moody

We are still seeking enthusiastic volunteers for the Rotary Family Patio to help make Car Free Day a success! We need:

  • Set-up and Tear-down Volunteers: Assistance with setting up and taking down the event.
  • Cashier: An additional cashier for the first two hours and possibly longer if needed.

Set-up Tear-down tasks include bringing the tent, three coolers (or chilly bins - Aussie term), and water from the locker, as well as returning these items at the end of the day. Hopefully, there will be no leftover water!

Please reach out to Peter Muir at treasurer@portmoodyrotary.ca if you can help.

Additional Volunteer Opportunities with the City of Port Moody

The City of Port Moody also needs volunteers. Similar to Ribfest, they are short on support. The roles available are:

  • Event Ambassador (11:30 am - 2:30 pm: 2 positions, and 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm: 4 positions)
Responsibilities: Direct guests to various event locations, provide overall event information, and answer general inquiries.

  • Eating Area Event Ambassador (11:30 am - 2:30 pm: 2 positions, and 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm: 2 positions)
Responsibilities: Oversee seating areas, ensure tables are cleared and seating is tidy, and assist with other event duties as needed.

These positions are for the City of Port Moody and are not related to the Rotary Family Patio.
