WHAT IS ROTARY’S POLIO FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE?
Rotary is committed to raising US$50 million every year for polio eradication.
Raising both funds and awareness and mobilizing volunteers are among Rotary’s primary roles as a partner in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. With our members, we’ve contributed more than $2.6 billion to fight polio, including matching funds from the Gates Foundation, and Rotary volunteers have dedicated countless hours to protecting children everywhere.
You can take action and raise awareness on World Polio Day, 24 October, and throughout the year.
Help end polio by making a gift to the PolioPlus Fund at endpolio.org.
Good attendance last week ......

A note from Bill for help please. If you are a Rotarian or a friend of Rotary please help drive to deliver this food for the children and their families
1) the number of boxes we will be delivering this year to the same 3 schools as last year is now 36 (shows 35 but 1 more was added on my newest list) where last year it was 18!!!!
2) this is a huge number (double) and shows the need in the community has grown due to generally higher food prices.
This is what needs to be delivered to Port Moody Schools: T/Y is this year. L/Y is last year
Seaview 10 T/Y and 7 or 8 L/Y
Moody Middle 18 T/Y and either 6 or 7 LY
Moody Elementary 8 T/Y AND 3 L/Y
36 this year to start and last year it was between 16 and 18 depending on the week.
Please help Bill out......Thanks
Thank. you to Gayle for the notes and Yvonne for the photos.
