Andy did an update on the Island House - South African project.
This project for a home for very severely handicapped young people has been in the works for some time. It has now been approved and going forward with the thanks of many clubs and Andy personally. The residents are between the ages of 3 and 30 and there is no government funding. All the money used for equipment and staff is donated. The project is now: $47,175.00 Well done Andy.
Cleone - Talked about the fires in Jasper and the Power of Rotary. Cleone has many friends who have lost their homes, burnt to the ground and with all this damage, no lives were lost. Cleone has a very long history in Jasper and this hit home very hard. Rotary has a disaster relief fund that the Rotary Club in Jasper will be applying for.
