Our guest this meeting, Quest, the beautiful seeing eye dog for our speaker, Lynn.

Guest Speaker: Lynn Jensen,
Shortly after earning her nursing degree, Lynn Jensen experienced complete vision loss—a life‑altering moment that reshaped her path but never diminished her purpose. She went on to become a vision rehabilitation therapist, dedicating 24 years to supporting clients at a rehabilitation centre in Vancouver.
Today, Lynn continues this passionate work as an independent vision rehabilitation consultant. She provides essential independent‑living skills training through both in‑person and virtual workshops, empowering individuals and groups who are blind or have low vision to live with confidence, capability, and independence.
On February 24, Lynn will launch her new book, Best Kept Secrets with Sight Loss—the first guide written exclusively for people experiencing sight loss. This groundbreaking resource offers trustworthy, experience‑based advice on every aspect of travel: planning and packing, navigating domestic and international trips by plane, train, or ship, travelling solo or with a guide dog, and so much more.
Thank you, Lynn, for your wonderfully informative talk—you gave us greater insight and clarity into your world. Your openness and expertise were truly appreciated. You are truly a passionate and lovely person, and I’m excited to read your new book!
