Our long time club member and overall lovely human being, Al Stjernegaard, being awarded the first recipient of the Dan Gallant International Service Award by District Governor Isabelle Martinez Hayer at this weekend's Rotary District Conference in Harrison.
Congratulations Al, on receiving this award! This remarkable achievement honours a legacy of service that Dan would been so very proud to see continued.

Our club has done it again – this year's Search for the Perfect Pint was a huge success and all for a great cause - raising funds to support both our local initiatives and international events!

And a huge shout out and a big Thank You goes out to all of our sponsors. Without your support, this event would not have been possible.
Our Meeting this week:
Guests: Andrea Corrigan - Hope for Freedom Society, Devon Wilson – International Development Project Manager/Passionate Humanitarian Leader for Climate Change Resilience, Female Empowerment, & Poverty Reduction, Paul Henderson from the Rotary Club of Lethbridge East and John Lok, our Guest Speaker

Monica & Devon share a quick huddle over their morning coffee.

We are very proud to award our Rotary Community Grant to Andrea Corrigan from The Hope for Freedom Society. Hope for Freedom Society is located in the Tri-Cities area and is a live-in recovery residence for adults who have substance related issues and require housing and emotional support.

John Lok is a long‑time teacher and school leader in private and semi‑public schools.
His talk was all about making schools feel more human – more real connection and face-to-face learning, less screen time, and a bigger focus on children’s healthy development.
A sincere thank you John for sharing your experience and thoughtful insights on how the education system is changing during these uncertain times.
It’s the Al Stjernegaard week! Congrats to Al on winning this week’s wine draw winner!

Please,
Please,
- help raise awareness of the need to keep our children healthy!
- understand that most of the children infected with polio will not present paralysis nor other symptons, but still can pass on the virus (two wild polio cases already this year),
- inform your communities that
- polio is only a plane ride away (the polio virus was detected in London sewage for the second time this year)
- no child is safe until all children are safe
- ADVOCATE - DONATE - EDUCATE
At this weekend's Rotary District Conference, Peter Tam, Lee Harmon, and President Elect Darrell Burnham in front of Miss Vicky - our "rolling ambassador" on the importance of polio vaccinations and that together, communities can help finish the job in the eradication of polio.
