Thank you so much to Malcolm Kennedy for explaining to us how to donate to the Rotary Foundation.  It is always a pleasure to have Malcolm come to our Rotary Club.  And thank you to AG Glen for sending out a summary to everyone.
 
 
 
What a good group of volunteers who decorated Eagle Ridge Manor.  You have made all the residents so very happy for making their home feel like Christmas.

Gayle, the chair of our Community Grants, gave out the last of our Community Grants.
The Scouts received $500.00 for camping supplies.
 
TriCities Community Television received a grant for a new camera.

The "drop off" for stamps is the poster and envelope in the Galleria, in the hallway between City Offices and the Library

Stamps are available at the Superstore and NoFrills

November 26th - RIBFEST meeting at the Balzer's.  Please bring your beverage and something to share. 6:30 PM - everyone welcome. This is an important decision making meeting and we need all 'on board'.  Thank you...

IT DIDN'T RAIN!!
 
With 10 of us we completed the Re/Re lights for the Main Building plus 2 Patios areas in only a couple of hours!
 We installed over 300 feet of new lights.

Rotary Global Grant
As we all know, Andy Berrisford and family went to South Africa and went back to the place where they grew up.  They came upon a house that used to be a grocery store and now looked very different.  When they knocked on the door they found a home for severely disabled children.  This home was full of love but they had no supplies.  Andy & Yvonne came back and decided to donate some money to this home and asked if our Rotary Club of Port Moody would help.  We of course said yes, and then Andy got in touch with a Rotary Club in the area of the home and they also donated.  
 
A Global Grant was requested and we just received an 'approval' for this grant.  This is what we received:

Congratulations! Your global grant application for funding to provide equipment and medical training to staff at the Eiland Huis Care Facility in Western Cape, South Africa, submitted by the Rotary Club of Melkbos and the Rotary Club of Port Moody, has been approved by The Rotary Foundation and The Rotary Foundation Canada. The award is in the amount of US$ 47,175.00.
