It's all about RIBFEST 2024.
Great meeting with lots of stories and fun.
Thank you again to Ian and Allison for a well run Port Moody Rotary RIBFEST 2024 and for great communication.  Everyone agreed that the 'set-up' this year was the BEST ever.  The park looked fantastic.

The chairs were as follows and THANK YOU:

Social Media - Glen - An outstanding job on 'getting to word out'.  Great videos, photos and promos.
Parking - Clayton - Now that's a job that is hard to find volunteers for, but he did and he ran the Volunteer Parking as well the the park 'parking' and the Bike Valet.  350 bikes were parked there over the weekend and 2 dogs that a volunteer was happy to look after.

Logistics - Alan - So many details and all were covered very well.  Alan was 'very' happy with the golf cart.
IT - Ramin - Always a smile on his face and always willing to help and the IT went on without a hitch.
Volunteers - Peter - we always wonder if we will have enough volunteers and Peter seemed to find them everywhere.   Peter delivered food, made signs, helped with anything he could, and again, always with a smile.  A job very well done.

Recycling - Bill - our Green Machine & Rhonda his famous side-kick

Open Road Lounge - Monica, Susan & Alison - Oh my gosh it looked beautiful & very inviting....The set up was very pretty and like someone said, looks like a wedding could be there.

50/50 -Frank - Frank took care to the 50/50 license and with the help of Malcolm Kennedy, they had all the shifts covered.  Looks like a record amount again this year.  Well done.

Bar - Ian - Although Ian was a chair of RIBFEST 2024 - he ran the bar & the cashiers/ID checkers
Thanks to Al for bringing in his 'crew' of friends to help with the bar.

Music - George - Well I think 'everyone' enjoyed the music once again this year.  George makes this job seem so easy !!!!  I believe that the bands/music we have at our Port Moody Rotary RIBFEST is what sets us apart from all the other RIBFEST's.
Family Zone - Cleone -Cleone was set up before everyone and took down before everyone.  Even with her swollen ankle she was shuttling her sponsors from the Volunteer parking to the park and back.  What a gal!!!! she is really the energizer bunny.

Judging & Ambassador - Mike.  Mike said he spoke to 44,655 people over the weekend, asking them where they were from and why they liked the ribs they tasted.  'That is community' !!!  Having someone talking to people and just again thanking them for coming to this Community event is huge. !!!
The judging went well and Mike MC'd it perfectly.
Corn Hut - Coreen  [ Passport Club ]- I'm sure she is shucking corn in her sleep still. & PP Trudy

Pop Tent - Coquitlam tent - there was a line up there everyday
Our C & D run girl. Trish -  She and 'not Trish' Joan, are always amazing and always a job well done.
Gayle - Yes, Gayle was back at it, walking back and forth  to the 'pigs'......She also never stops and is always smiling.

Linda - I can tell you I had the 'BEST' team of Ambassadors and Counters EVER !!!  They smiled and welcomed every person who came into the park.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. !!!!!

We live in a wonderful community with amazing people who will volunteer their time to help make our Port Moody Rotary RIBFEST the BEST ever.

We are so GRATEFUL !!!!!

We had 3 guests at our meeting:
George Balzer - 'The Mayor of Music' - He makes it look so easy !!!

Lorraine Wilson along with Vida.  Lorraine helps with Days for Girls and helped with the Valentine making again this year.  She and Vida volunteered in the 'Family zone' where the children painted their parents and themselves with stickers etc.
Clayton Anderson - Although Clayton is not a member of our Rotary Club he is certainly a huge FRIEND of Rotary.  Clayton is our 'Parking guru'.
Mike presented Ian and Alison RIBFEST cutting boards for a very well run and organized
Port Moody Rotary RIBFEST 2024.
And here is our Rotary Club of Port Moody !!!! Well some of us....the rest are catching up on work after 5 days of RIBFEST.
