ROTARY FOUNDATION MONTH
We will be hearing a lot more about the Foundation this month, but Glen gave us a great idea of how easy it is to contribute.
Glen mentioned the opportunity to make recurring donations online to the Rotary Foundation - rather than having to rifle through your wallet to give Alan a few bucks every Wednesday.

Online donation is easy and a relatively painless way to do things.  It also helps the club achieve its goals for foundation giving by better ensuring a more predictable stream of donations.

Maybe your personal goal is to be a sustaining contributor to the Rotary Foundation - meaning your intention is to donate $100 USD per year.   Easy you say - $4 CAD every week and I'm sure I only have to make it to 35 meetings.

Let's make it easier and cheaper for you.  If you go online and subscribe to donate $12 per month (that's only $3 per week) you will have donated $103 USD in the course of a year.  (assuming the exchange rate gods remain quiet).

If your goal is to earn a Paul Harris Fellow (awarded following cumulative contributions of $1000 USD) you can easily calculate your time to earn.  In fact, by donating a dollar a day ($30 per month) you will earn a PHF in just 4 years.

At the end of the day how much you choose to give is entirely up to you.

When you donate online, you get to choose where your donations go.  In this case its important to direct your donations to the Annual Fund.

Online donation will also expedite processing your tax receipt and Paul Harris Fellow recognition points. For online donations please visit https://www.rotary.org/en/donate.

Please consider supporting the Rotary Foundation.  We are fortunate in our club to see those funds returned to our club so that we all might see the Magic of Rotary.

Happy Foundation Month
Glen

It is always a great day when the Rotary Club of Port Moody gets a new member and this new member is another 'gem' in our Rotary Club.

We welcomed Jinsoo Kim as a new member of our Rotary Club.  Glen just about jumped out of his seat when he learned that Jinsoo loves to do videos and take photos and is willing to do that for our Rotary Club.  Jinsoo will be an excellent member of our Rotary Club as he has already volunteered at RIBFEST, selling poppies, signed up for decorating the manor , came to our 25th Anniversary party & cleaning up Heritage Mtn. Blvd.

Welcome Jinsoo !!!!

Sue McIntyre and Carrie Nimmo for a presentation of the United Church Mural. For $5,000.
