The Springs Art Wall at Inlet United Church Port Moody,
We are delighted to share the news that Atheana Picha has completed her work on the Art Wall. She put her last brush strokes on, and signed her work on Saturday evening. At Inlet United, we are grateful to engage in this work, building community connection, advancing Reconciliation, and offering the gift of beauty and reflection to our neighbourhood.
Next steps include:
- installation of a protective clear "graffiti coat”
- creation and installation of a sign beside the mural, including the work’s title (TBA), artist statement and acknowledgment of our sponsors and supporters
- a celebration in Coast Salish Tradition, with feast and blessing - probably in early October - we will invite you as soon as we have a date confirmed.
We welcome you to stop by and see this beautiful work up close. We are grateful that you helped to make it possible.

Gerry Glazier came zooming up on his scooter again this week. Soon you will be a member [again] of our Rotary Club of Port Moody Gerry.
One of our favourite Rotary meetings are 'classification talks' by our members. At the last minute President Rick asked one of our newest members, Joan to do her Classification talk and you could have heard a 'pin drop' during her whole talk. Joan you are an amazing woman and we are so grateful that you have joined our Rotary Club. If you didn't hear her talk, please go for coffee with her and hear her story. WOW is all I can say. Thank you Dr. Joan.
Happy Birthday and Anniversary to Ramin
Thank you to Danne & Kerry & Mike for filling up our 'Little Lending Library' by Old Orchard Hall/Park. For years Gayle has been filing up this Little Library and she is very grateful that all our Rotary members will be doing this in the future. Please go through your books no longer needed in your home and take down to Old Orchard Park. Our Little Lending Library is on the map of all Lending Libraries. It was built by Walter Peachy years ago and with a few 'Renos' it is a good as new.

A couple of weeks ago Glen received an invitation from Tri-Cities Community TV to talk about Rotary in the Tri-Cities. Community TV has combined the interview with some footage on Rotary Projects (like Starfish) as well as the "testimonials" many of you did prior to RIBFEST

I'm sad to report that we lost an amazing Community citizen in Les Garrison. Les was a shining star in our Community for many years. He was a Past Chamber of Commerce President, a good family man, among many other things. Les Garrison Insurance was an ICON in the Insurance business for many years. We send our condolences to Greg Garrison [from Coquitlam Sunrise] and family and to Nancy Rayson.
