We also thanked AG Al for all the good work he has done as our AG.  He has brought the clubs closer together and we are grateful for all the work he has done.  We look forward to Glen as our new AG.
Coreen presented Yvonne with her first Paul Harris.  Yvonne has always been so helpful with all our projects and gives the best HUGS ever.
Congratulations Yvonne

A chance to get together for fun - after RIBFEST - BASKETBALL

Cameron Reeves from the Bandits came to tell us about a game that we can all attend.  There are several from our Club going and we can go in car pools.....
please let Alan know if you would like to attend and we will make this happen.
To purchase tickets please call - 604-318-9963 or email creeves@the bandits.ca

It's all about RIBFEST and Al and Frank covered it all.....
OK everyone it is down to the wire.......

YES we need help, from anyone you know.  We have a 'new category' called,  Don't know where, but want to help.  We have shortened the shifts and hopefully we will get more people out.  PLEASE, ask everyone you know to please sign up.  It is fun and the more hands the less work for all.  Thank you.....we can do this.  Alistair is doing an outstanding job sending out requests, but we 'all' have to use our own contacts.

Not many questions were asked about the procedures, and that means our RIBFEST leaders are doing a great job letting us know what is expected and what we need.
Al mentioned a couple of things......
- When you are wearing your volunteer RIBFEST shirt there is NO drinking allowed.  NONE.  This is a Liquor Control Board rule.  So while on 'shift', you can not drink
- Everyone who enters the VIP area, must have a $30.00 ticket.  With that you will get seated and given a token for a beverage.
- Dogs will not be permitted into the park for RIBFEST
- The Beer garden tent will be in the same place as last year, difference is that you can leave that tent and walk around with your beverage.
- You must have a wrist band on to purchase a beverage
- Parking is available on Flavelle's site for Volunteers
-The bands are great again this year [I have to give a plug to GB]
-The Family Zone was explained by Cleone and sounds like it is going to be great.
-Training for the cashiers, and bar people dates will be sent to everyone in those areas.
Frank talked about 50/50 tickets.....
The first Summer Sunday's : www:summersundays.ca
is July 10 and it would be great to have Rotarians there to sell 50/50 tickets and talk about volunteering.  The Rotary tent will be set up and Frank has sent out a sign up sheet for those that want to volunteer.  Even if you are coming to listen to the music, please wear your RIBFEST shirt from last time and or something Rotary. More 50/50 tickets have been sold 'in person' than 'on line' so this is a great opportunity.  Frank also thanked Yvonne for entering all the tickets that have been purchased.

Thank you Alan for organizing the Heritage Mtn. Blvd. clean up again... This is what Alan says:

Reminder that we are scheduled for Heritage Mountain Blvd. clean up this coming Saturday morning, July 9th.

Meet at Gallagher's coffee shop at 9:00 am

Good way to get some exercise and contribute to a cleaner city.
