Mark's bio:

My Christian faith has been a strong influence in my life. I have 2 children, Scott and Kyjsa. Scott official becomes a lawyer next Wednesday and I am looking forward to the ceremony. Kyjsa since leaving the University of Calgary where she played for the woman's volleyball team has been director of a program call the Nunavik Volleyball. She is the nicest person I have had the privilege of meeting.

I was born in Kamloops in a family that was heavily involved in the fruit industry, a relationship that lasted 50 years until the last was sold off in 1984.

We moved to Alberta in the mid 70's, where I called Drumheller home.

I attended the University of Alberta and then worked in the oil industry for 15 years.

As for technology, I developed (the first of it's kind),  online livestock auction in Canada. I called it DLMS (Direct Livestock Marketing System)  I also started a company called Foothills Technology and Printing, where I gained my experience in the apparel industry.

I have been active from everything from coaching many sports at all levels of ability, worked tirelessly at fundraising and always found my faith a guiding force in my life

I believe Sport X was created for the purpose of helping others, giving back for the many blessing the Lord has given me throughout my life.

Mark is designing and selling RIBFEST t-shirts at our Port Moody Rotary RIBFEST this year. Soon we will have them 'on line' for anyone to purchase.  Thank you for this opportunity Mark.

Did you know that bagged empties can be returned to Return-It and credited to the Rotary Club of Port Moody.
It's easy. Bring your empties in a clear/blue bag. Enter the 1231234567 code into the printer console and place the printed label on your bag before tossing it into the provided bin. No sorting. Remember those milk containers! It's that simple.
Your donation will support programs of the Rotary Club of Port Moody.
Thank you
AND when you purchase your beverages from the Port Moody Liquor Store, on St. Johns Street, and tell them it is for Port Moody Rotary [please make sure you tell them as they often make a mistake] we will get 5% of the purchase......again going to our Rotary Club.
