Last week we had a big group come to clean up Heritage Mtn.Blvd. Thank you to all who came to help make our City of Port Moody a better place to live.

Bill told us about about the planting at Westhill park trail and the 19 students, 4 parents, a teacher, and Sara from the City. It is so wonderful that we have the partnership with the young people.
Peter is asking for wine to be donated for the draw he is doing every week. Congratulations Alan for winning last week.
Legacy project update from the City. Lots of questions and lots to be decided from the City before we make a decision.

We had a good presentation from the City but there is a lot of unanswered questions. They think tender will go out in May 2025 to have building completion end of 2026 and operational 2027. They have suggested that we will have a 5 year free allocation and fees for the building to be negotiated after 5 years. There will be 87 parking places for any event there with 9 extra ones for AV. We will have preferred times unless the soccer club is having a tournament or event. Access to the building will be by 'card and someone will have to stand at the entrance to let everyone in if we choose to have our meetings there. We will have to set up and take down each week and someone will have to make coffee and clean up, and bring in food for members and Guest Speakers each week. We will have a small storage area for our flags, spikes and name tags that will be where the City have their janitor supplies. City Staff will have the top floor for offices !!!
April 26th - Clean up the locker. Strong backs needed. 10:00 - Falcon Drive.
April 30th - we will have PADS puppies at our meeting. Please mark that date on your calendars. It will be a fun meeting.
May 3-4 - District 5050 Conference in Tulalip Resort, WA

May 10 - Clean up Heritage Mtn. Blvd. - Please be at Gallaghers in Newport Village at 8:55 AM..... The more the merrier.
May 13 - Spirited Book Club Venue TBA
June 2nd - International meeting at the Balzer's. Pot Luck and bring beverage of choice. Everyone welcome. 5:30 PM. Lots of projects to talk about and it is always a fun night.
June 5th - Installation night - SAVE the DATE ....This is the night we thank President Rick for this past Rotary year and welcome Allison as our new President. It will be held at Saint Street Grill and the tickets will be $70.00 / person including tax & tip. [same price as last year]
Trish and Susan are organizing this year and it promises to be fun.
June 21-25 - Rotary International Convention in Calgary, AB

We will be sending out a volunteer list for this event also. It is a great time to meet and thank the community for supporting our annual SHRED-A-THON.
PLEASE put posters up in your building, on the mail boxes, in coffee shops to advertise that we are doing this. Glen is doing a great job for social media, but we need your help to fill 2 trucks. & thank you to Joan for printing the posters.
