Darrell Burnham has been selected as the Rotary District 5050 Governor Nominee Designate and will assume the role of District Governor on July 1, 2028!
Congratulations Darrell from all of our club’s members and from Rotary District 5050!
During his career in mental health advocacy, Darrell has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Coast Mental Health in Vancouver from June 1987 until September 2023. In this role, he was instrumental in transforming Coast Mental Health into one of Canada’s largest community mental health organizations.
His leadership resulted in significant accomplishments, including the development of innovative supportive housing for over 1,400 individuals. Darrell's commitment to open communication and responsiveness allowed him to navigate community opposition effectively when opening new facilities, ensuring the organization's growth and success.
Darrell has also received numerous accolades, including the 2023 Denise Leblond Lifetime Achievement Award from the BC Non-Profit Housing Association and the 2022 Award of Excellence from the City of Vancouver’s Healthy City for All Awards. IN 2014 he was also honoured with the SFU Outstanding Alumni Award in 2014 for his contributions to community service.

"Pie Day" at Eagle Ridge Manor was Friday Nov.21st, and Danne Dunlop was delivering and serving pies to the residents. Thank you Danne for this special gift that you are giving to the seniors every month. And a big Thanks to Thrifty's for their donations of these delicious pies!
We now have enough gifts for all the men for the Innervisions Holiday Lunch on Wednesday, Dec.10th. Thank you everyone from Gayle & Linda for all of your donations – special heartfelt events like this really makes the world of difference for these individuals in their treatment program.
