SHRED-A-THON this weekend, Saturday........Please come out and volunteer.  We will need you in the afternoon.
We want to 'fill the 2 trucks'.  Please dress for the weather as we do this 'rain or shine'.
Thanks for your help everyone.

Well written Peter.....Thank you

Brian Wormald came around my house to day to sort out his key to our lock-up.

I asked him what he was up to and he told me he had some work to do at the Glenayre Track.

He was still working on this project!  Many of us worked on this project, but Brian was the lead and through his commitment and energy has left us a super Rotary Project but more importantly a fantastic legacy for BRIAN WORMALD.

The other outstanding Rotarian is DANNE DUNLOP -Danne has not missed a Friday for "Pie Day" even through Covid.
He now serves the guests at The Manor who so look forward to these  pies from Thrifty's.
Danne proudly wears his  Rotary Shirt and does his service  quietly with no fuss every Friday. I bet not many in our Club even know about the commitment.

Many in are Club work hard on the many projects that we do, but these two are truly Out Standing.

BRIAN WORMALD
DANNE DUNLOP.
Cheers to them!

Best Wishes on this new chapter of their lives.

Moved......  President Coreen and Treasurer Michael have now moved to the Chilliwack area.  We wish them well, but they are going to be missed....

Dan & Marion also moved to the Langley area.  We know that Dan will be back to see us regularly, but we will miss them in our community.

Gary we are all cheering you on to good health.

George Broderick had his surgery and is doing well.  Thank you to Yolanda for the update as follows:

George had a successful bypass this morning with no complications according to the surgeon.  We saw him before his surgery at 7:30 am and we agreed that we will see him on Wednesday morning instead of trying to see him on Tuesday.  Depending on how things are, George could be home between Friday and Sunday this week.  The doctor predicts as he is considerably in good health, a non smoker and he is young, he should be recovering well barring any postoperative complications, which the doctor does not foresee.  If things go according to plan, he should be back to doing things by August.

Thank you again for all your good wishes, positive vibes and thoughts and most especially for all your prayers.  Please extend my deepest gratitude to everyone.  And we don't mind more prayers and positive vibes in the coming days as George tries to recover.  God is good.

We are also grateful for our healthcare system here in Canada.  So far the nurses, staff and doctors at 2 North and 2 South at Royal Columbian Hospital have been fantastic.
Peace and joy,
Yolanda M. Broderick, B. Sc.

After the meeting on Wednesday, please plan on coming down to Old Orchard Hall for a few minutes to show Terry Peachey the plaque we had made in honour of Walter, her husband that made it.
It would be wonderful to have a good crowd there.
