Gayle made the presentation of a Community Grant check to 'Nothin Dragons Paddling Society' , Dale Bryant. It will be used for the Rescue Boat, & used for Youth and education.
Book club met on Thursday to discuss book” the Greatest beer run ever ' at Ian’s and Trish’s home.

Vida Pederson & George Broderick went to Camp Jubilee and were very impressed with the 30 students we sent this year.

Speaker this morning was Kristina Lebed, Executive Director, Fraser Region of BC Cancer.
She also Volunteers for the Ukraine Society.
She looks after the Provincial Cancer Control Program.
There are 6 centres in B.C. , one in Surrey, there is over $500,000 needed. The government needs to stand up to this requirement.
They are currently building a new one in Burnaby and Cloverdale.
Surrey is a very busy centre, and the standard of care is very high.
Chemo-therapy is saving lives There is a cure rate of 85%.
At this point she is asking for two new vein finders. The purpose of these is critical.
Each piece of equipment costs $20,000.
Steve Witiuk is working on a campaign to aquire this.

We did a filming presentation to give testimony of our members why they belong to Rotary. This will be shown at RIBFEST on the 'big screen'. You are all going to be 'more' famous!!!!!
