Lindagene Coyle
Lindagene almost became a Rotarian in District 5050 back in 2001/2002. She investigated the clubs around where she lived in Surrey – breakfast and lunch clubs. She eventually settled on the District 5040 Richmond Sunset club as it was close to work and in the early evening. Please refer to her bio – written in 2017 - https://rotarydistrict5050.org/sitepage/past-district-governor-biographies/lindagene-coyle-2017-18.
Since her year as District Governor, she continued to be involved – District Vice Governor, 2 years as Finance Director, 3 years as District Leadership & Development (Trainer), House of Friendship at Conferences, attendance at Zone Conferences – especially when a cruise was involved (Bahamas).
Lindagene had a passion for cruising and tried to cruise every year. Even her conference in 2018 was on a cruise!
Family was very important to Lindagene, and she took her role as matriarch of the family very seriously. Her many siblings and their families are scattered around the eastern US and her daughter is in California. Her sons and granddaughter live in the Lower Mainland.
Her passion for Rotary was infectious and she loved talking about it – long phone calls! She truly believed there is a Rotary club for everyone!
Lindagene will be missed by many – near and far!

Another great Classification talk by our past and newest member Gerry Glazier. Wow what a life you have had Gerry. Rotary Clubs Gerry has belonged to are the Yellowknife, Port Moody, Indonesia and Vancouver where he was the President of the Vancouver Rotary Club until he came back to our club. Gerry and his wife have lived in so many different parts of the world and we are grateful that you have chosen to come back to our Rotary Club of Port Moody.
Gary encouraged us all to go to Thirsty Thursday at the Legion on the first Thursday of each month at 5:00 PM. It is a wonderful time to chat and get to know each other on a 'social' basis. Thanks Gary for doing this.
