4 Dynamic young women from Port Coquitlam came to talk about Girls of Ghana

Girls for Ghana, located in downtown Port Coquitlam has started this year in planning (January) to leading actions (March), and will soon be ending in December.
At G4G Ghana, we provide help and hope for underprivileged young girls in Ghana who have limited resources or limited access to resources that can meet their basic sanitary needs.
We keep them safe by providing important sanitary supplies and, we provide them with necessary self education to help them stay protected and, help them make informed decisions as they enter into puberty.
We know that Vida talked to them already about 'Days for Girls' and I'm sure that they will be in touch with her and the Port Coquitlam Centennial Rotary Club.
Chantelle & her husband Chris came to collect the cheque for the 50/50 at RIBFEST. What a perfect deserving couple to win this 50/50

Innervisions BBQ -
Thank you to Alan for doing the grocery shopping. The BBQ chefs were Danne, Glen & Alan. Frank & Mike served up the food. All the men were very grateful for the burgers & hot dogs.

Every Port Moody RIBFEST, men enrolled in residential drug and alcohol treatment at InnerVisions Recovery Society spend 2 full days at Rocky Point Park, before and after the event, helping us with the setup and takedown. The layout of the park is a massive undertaking and we could not do it without their assistance.
Members of our club value the opportunity to express thanks, and to show support for these men on a pathway to recovery. In August we put on a BBQ and closer to Christmas it will be a Chili lunch.
For over 25 years, InnerVisions’ treatment programs have helped men of all backgrounds become clean, sober, and move on to live productive lives within their communities. Alcoholism and addiction can be hard to deal with on your own. Thankfully, Innervisions is here to help. Their staff know what it takes to overcome addiction, and to support people learning to live clean and sober everyday
Car Free Day - Sunday

We were located at the top near Moody St with two food trucks and being called a family patio most of our guests brought their food in an ate.
The first hours it rained and only had a few sales. We may have some revenue for our kitty after reviewing our expenses.

And speaking of Anniversaries, Eagle Ridge Manor had their 30th Anniversary Party and thank you to Danne & Kerry and PP Trudy for being there to celebrate.
Since the first year of our Rotary Club of Port Moody, we have supported Eagle Ridge Manor. We have always put on the annual Christmas Party and decorating of the manor. We have purchased many pieces of equipment for them and have even done some gardening for them. Also we do Pie Day for them each month, which means we serve 'pie' to them each month. This is a huge treat for them and we thank Danne for taking this on and now our new member Haleh is helping. I guess you would say 'we adopted them'.
