7 members of the Rotary Club of Port Moody attended the 2025 Rotary District Conference. Dan G, Bill, PP Susan President Rick, President Elect Allison, Peter M & Frank. A great turnout from our Club, and because we had no guest speaker each spoke about what they found interesting at the conference. The theme was Vibrant Clubs, Membership, Public Image and Foundation. President Rick did a great job facilitating this topic.
The discussion was lively and again we talk about how Rotary does not 'brag' about what we do !!! We are pretty sure a lot of people are aware of our Rotary Club of Port Moody, but if was discussed that we do not 'invite people' to come to our meetings and check us out and maybe become members. It was suggested that we have a Port Moody Rotary Day for the Community and hopefully we will expand on that idea. Glen is doing an outstanding job with social media talking about what we do in our community and you can help by 'sharing' his posts.
Let's have a brainstorming session and see what we can come up with. Who's in?
Also it would be a big help to make our meetings more interesting for Guests, if we had good guest speakers. Darrell does an outstanding job but it is always helpful to have help with this. Please give him your suggestions for speakers.

I have asked each club member that can, to please give me 3 hours of your time at RIBFEST this year as an AMBASSADOR. We know more About RIBFEST than anyone and YOU will be a great 'greeter' to our guests, welcoming them and letting them know where everything is. I will sign you up, just give me date and times you want and you are IN. There are not too many spots to fill so we can do this. Thank you.

Guests this week were Melissa & Graeme. Just so you know, both have volunteered for RIBFEST. !!!! Now we know they will be great Rotarians.

Birthdays: Bob Carter & Hazel Wiggins. We wish you both many many more Healthy and Happy years
ahead.
Trish has a club anniversary of 5 years.

Steve won the wine and the party & BBQ will be at his home when the weather is better. We can help weed his garden for him.

Thank you to Joan for the photos and for printing the Shred-A-Thon posters. Please put them up in your buildings, favourite coffee shops and on social media. We need lots of people this year.
The Heritage Mtn. Blvd. Clean up crew will be hard at work Saturday.

So much good work is being done in Belize through our Rotary Club of Port Moody & friends and the Global Grant. Soon the team will be back home and we are excited to hear their stories.
