[Service Project] Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

Currently, 1 in 7 people in Los Angeles experiences hunger. Fight hunger with us by giving just a little bit of your time. 

We will be helping the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank sort, inspect, and repackage donated food items from local food drives before they get distributed to those in need. We are looking for at least 5 volunteers. Please sign up online via Clubrunner if interested and I will forward you additional information. *** The event will observe all safety and Covid-19 guidelines, including requirement of using gloves, masks, social distancing, etc. As this is a voluntary club activity. Rotary Club of Playa Venice Sunrise: September 4th, 2020

Event Description:   We will volunteer at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank assembling food packages for over 27,000 low income seniors, women with infants, and children in Los Angeles County. The food packages consist of food items like canned fruit, canned vegetables, rice, cereal and other non-perishable food items. By giving just a little of our time, we can make a big difference in our community.   IMPORTANT THINGS FOR EACH VOLUNTEER TO KNOW Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to check-in All volunteers must wear closed toed shoes Minimum age requirement to volunteer is 18 (sorry, no exceptions) No walk-ins allowed; each person must register ahead of time
