Build a Bear

We meet at 4 PM at the store in Westfield Culver City Mall, on the ground floor. The club pays for the bears—up to $50. Family and kids are welcome, though we can only accommodate 35 people. CARES is an affiliate of USC/ County Hospital and cares for children—patients and children with parents in the hospital. All are poor and many have been traumatized. The bears are personally selected by the CARES and nursing staff to suit the individual child and are one of the most popular programs at the hospital. This is our 5th year of building bear for these kids and is a chance for Rotarians to let their inner kid come out building a bear of their imagination. It is truly a feel good evening with lots of great fellowship. We follow up with dinner at a nearby restaurant.
