Matching Grants
Proposed Matching Grants for 2009-10
Through Matching Grants, The Rotary Foundation matches contributions
raised for international service projects by Rotary clubs and districts
in two or more countries. The Foundation provides a one-to-one match
for District Designated Fund (DDF)/SHARE contributions and a US$0.50 match for every new $1 cash contribution. Grant awards range from $5,000 to $150,000.
On July 31, 2009 we sent requests for three matching grants to Rotary International. This was accomplished by the tenacity of Rotarian Aliayh Levin. Thank you for your tremendous effort and for producing a quality product. The grant requests were for Youth Orchestra- Cali, Colombia; LIGA Rural Medical Clinic; and Solar Power, Water and Sanitation for the Rural School: Tissikoreye, Mali.
