His response was somewhere between 3.98 and 4.02. He then asks the accountant. His answer was “What do you need it to be?”
Cedric spoke about the revisions to our bylaws and constitution. He mentioned that John Ranaudo brought up that our bylaws had not been updated in years, so a committee was formed with John, Cedric, Loli Ramezani and Richard Montgomery to review and update our bylaws to our constitution. They removed redundant bylaws. Then it was presented to our existing and future boards for review. Cedric will be emailing us files of the constitution with the redlined bylaws for review and comments. Once received, we will have 10 days to comment. Late arrival had Happy Dollars!!! Advisor in the house. “Hope. One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful.” Sigmund Freud Our guest speaker for today was Dr. Pulin Sheth, Medical Director of the Breast Imaging Program, USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Chief of Breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) staff radiologist at Keck Medicine and Verdugo Hills Hospital.
Dr. Sheth gave us of list of questions he hoped he could answer in his allotted time.- Why and how do we screen for breast cancer?
- Difference between screening and diagnostic imaging?
- Mammogram, Ultrasound, MRI, other...which is best?
- The dreaded "Call Back"!
- Breast interventions and next steps
- Working as a Team - radiologists, surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, pathologists, geneticists, techs, nurses, and patient advocates/navigators
- When to start screening? When to stop? How often?
- Who is at high or higher risk and what does that mean?
- How is Al changing breast cancer management?
Most important item he stressed. Get screening every year after 40. If you have the BRCA gene or family history, it is so very important. AI will not replace doctors, but will be an important tool to use to recognize and highlight possible cancer. Dr. Sheth’s info 323-865-3452, pulin.seth@med.usc.edu, keckmedicine.org.
