Niger WASH Africa Trip 2018

World Vision (WV) and MB Rotary have decided to move the Niger WASH Trip to 2018 !! Please let us know if you're interested in a tour of our funded projects in Torodi Region of Niger Africa. It's likely the trip details will be roughly the same, in October (tbd) 2018 and is in partnership with Niamey Rotary Club and WV Niger WASH. We'll post the new registration date and the exact details next year. The four day trip will cost around $1,349 per person based on double occupancy and does not include airfare. Rotary Club of Manhattan Beach Niger–2017 (Internal Informational Document)

Summary: Rotary Club of Manhattan Beach to visit WASH funded projects in Torodi Region.  In partnership with Niamey Rotary Club and WV Niger WASH.

Planning Timeline (Ideal, subject to change)

  1. Registration Link Available/NO Approval – Received 4/20/2018

  2. Discovery Call with Souleymana WV Niger – 90-120 Days (June, 2018)

  3. Registration Closed– 60 Days (August 13th, 2018 or sooner)

  4. Background Checks completed upon registration (August 13th, 2018)

    1. Background checks on average take roughly 5 business days for US citizens.

  5. International Flights – 60-45 days (August 2018 or sooner)

  6. Business Visa Submission Process – 60-30 Days (September, 2018 *partially facilitated by WVN/WVUS)

    1. WVN provides Invitation Letter

    2. WVUS provides Business Cover Letter - CR

    3. Once all documents received travelers submit Visa application and remaining requirements through the process outlined on CIBT: http://cibtvisas.com/?login=103622

  7. Final Trip Packet/Itinerary Delivered to Trip Leader (by 10/1/2018) CR

Standard Trip Pricing:

$1349 pp based on double occupancy

+$175 single supplement fee

$250 Cancellation penalty prior to 31 days, non-refundable within 30 days

Trip Min/Max: 6 (including TL)

Price Includes:

  • Lodging, meals, ground transportation, water/snacks, SOS coverage, in-country host, TL expenses and TL international flight.

Pricing Does Not Include:

  • International or internal flights, extra days not on standardized schedule, tourism activities, lodging upgrades, phone calls, alcoholic beverages, additional interpreters (larger group size), tips, single supplement, passport, visa, vaccine, travel, health or trip insurance
