Activities include: (1) Team-building; (2) Mentoring; (3) Tutoring; (4) Volunteering to put on community events (i.e. cook and hand out food, supervise kids on jumpies, participate in the planning); (5) Helping implement our strategy to create an on-line community through Facebook and other on-line venues; (6) Supervising field trips; (7) Volunteer time on the sport's field; (8) Our Rotary International partner will be sending a Group Study Exchange team to Los Angeles to learn about our culture and the ways we tackle the gang problems in Los Angeles. The GSE team will share with District 5280 members their experiences with gang prevention is Sao Paulo, Brazil. We are exploring a partnership with the USC Rotoract Club to provide mentoring and coach to inner-city youth.

Monica Farrell will be coordinating the Rotary Club of Manhattan Beach's participation in this project.
