The Special Guest Speaker for the 9/21 meeting was Mr. Ki Ho Hong.   He spoke about fitness in the workplace.  Also we had a special guest from the 3M (Miracle Marrow Matching) who gave us a short presentation as well.

President Gene Ho first started the meeting by talking about hte President's Dinner which was on September 16, 2010.  He said the dinner was great and he received good feedback from the district officers we sent our bulletin to.  They were very impressed by it.

President Ho mentioned that he would be absent on next Tuesday's meeting since he will be at the upcoming Junju West Rotary Club 40th Anniversary in Korea.

Upcoming events are as follows:
  1. Operation Smile Gala Dinner at the Beverly Hilton Friday on September 24. As it is short notice, we do have 10 invites for any members wanting to join.
  2. The Presidents Retreat on September 24, 2010.
  3. The Paul Harris Dinner at the House of Blues on November 7, 2010.  For more details click HERE.
During dinner we were shown a short video clip and given a brief message by the 3M representative that visited us.  It was a very touching video.  Lives are definitely saved through the hard work that 3M does.

Mr. Keun Tokko proceeded with the weekly auction.  Mr. Chris Kim donated wine for the auction.  The lucky winner was Mr. Sebastian Han.  Congratulations!

The guest speaker was then introduced by our Past President Dai Lee.  Mr. Ki Ho Hong happens to be Mr. Lee's personal trainer.  He spoke to us on the importance of keeping up our physical fitness even in the workplace.  He showed us stretching exercises that will help tremendously on our road to a more healthy body.  It was great to see all the rotary members take part in the exercises and Mr. Hong was very patient with us!
