The Special Guest Speaker for the 9/7 meeting was our very own Mr. Charles Kim who spoke extensively on Korean History, especially the many achievements and discoveries made by Koreans.
After the beginning meeting protocols were observed, President Gene Ho introduced the guests which included Roberto Cho who will be doing the newsletter for the Koreatown Rotary Club. Gene Ho asked how everyone's Labor Day weekend was and also mentioned a trip to Korea coming in October (Dr. Kim to substitute while Gene Ho is in Korea).
Gene Ho then mentioned some upcoming events:
There was some initial discussion about a youthact club for children 11-14 years old.
For the coming guest speakers, a Dr. Lee will come next week to talk about a health issue, then the following week a Mr. Hong Ki Yo will talk about sports management.
After the dinner break, the meeting resumed with an auction led by Mr. Keun Tokko. He auctioned off some items he brought from his business. Mr. Hong Kim led us in a fun time of fees.
