President's Message

Hello!! On behalf of the Inglewood Rotary Club we thank you for your interest in our club!! The Inglewood Rotary Club has been existence for over 95 years!! The club has a rich tradition of service to the Inglewood community, and we believe that we have the privilege  to continue that legacy!! We are excited to have moved back into the city of Inglewood, and are currently meeting at the Hollywood Park Casino!!

 

You may be asking yourself, What is Rotary?? We are a local chapter that is part of a global organization that consists of business owners, professionals, retirees and people looking to serve. Rotary was started by 3 businessmen in Chicago in 1935 who met in a small office. The name "Rotary" was derived from their meetings being "rotated" between their offices. These men soon reached out to other businessmen who began to devote time and resources to solving problems and creating opportunities for the less fortunate in that community.. 

 

We envision our club to be a place where one find 3 things. First, connection. The opportunity to connect with like minded individuals who have a heart to serve and improve the human condition.  Connection and companionship create a great foundation for service!!

 

Second, a platform for service. We are proud of community projects that have impacted our community to enhance the quality of life for those we have touched. Whether it's helping a child with reading glasses and watching their academic performance skyrocket, or helping to fight human trafficking, the projects come from the hearts of Rotarians who saw a need and wanted to address it. Have an idea or a project you would like to do to help others?? Rotary can be your platform. 

 

Third, it's a place of peace. Rotary is an organization committed to bringing peace in the world. Rotary brings people together. Despite differences, we look for the commonalities that unite us. It's a place you will find people diverse among racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic lines pulling in the same direction toward a common goal, to bring Peace!!
