I Can Fly International
I Can Fly International is a 501c3 non-profit organization that empowers vulnerable children and youth around the world through education and justice initiatives. Since 2005 we’ve assisted hundreds of women and children in their plight against early marriages, female genital mutilation, sexual abuse, child labor, tribal wars, illiteracy and extreme poverty.

We are guided by our faith in Jesus Christ and consider such the basis of our mission and motivation to save the lives of children in the developing world. .

Sha' Givens once dreamed of becoming a Broadway actress or United States Congresswoman. Soon after taking her first trip to Kenya with a local youth group, her focus changed in an instant. Her passion to protect young girls inspired her to take action, and she started a movement which has transformed multiple villages in East Africa.

Ms. Givens is a native of Los Angeles and an alumnus of San Diego State University. She is the Founder of I CAN FLY International Inc., a non-profit organization based in the United States and Kenya, East Africa. Through that organization she has established an Adult Literacy School for women, two Pre-Schools, two Butterfly Houses, a High School and a rescue center for girls ages 7-16 years old in Kenya. She is the creator of the Butterfly Project which rescues girls affected by Early Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation, Sex Trafficking, Child Labor, Abandonment and Extreme Poverty. She has become the voice of freedom for scores of children formerly trapped with no hope.

St. Margaret’s Center

St. Margaret's Center, a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles Inc., has served low-income and homeless families since 1987. The Center provides a comprehensive range of emergency and supportive services to more than 10,000 unduplicated individuals annually in the Los Angeles "L.A.X." area, primarily those living in the cities or streets of Lennox and surrounding communities.

St. Margaret's Center's mission has remained the same throughout its history, but the Center's programs have grown and evolved to respond to the needs of the community. St. Margaret's Center's programs target individuals and families who live at or below the poverty level. Programs are offered in both English and Spanish, and are free of charge, with the exception of nominal fees for immigration and counseling services. The Center provides assistance to anyone in need, regardless of the person's race, national origin or religious affiliation.

Our club members volunteer the third Tuesday of the month to prepare and distribute food kits for disadvantaged senior citizens at the St. Margaret’s Center from 8:30am-11:30am. Address: 10217 South Inglewood Avenue Inglewood, CA 90304.
